Small promises. A friend counting on them.
Rewards on CURI TIME BOX aren’t sweets or screen time. They’re one small thing kept up every day, a jar of stars slowly filling, and a pet they chose, named and look after themselves.
← Back to overviewOne small thing,
every day.
Start a challenge in the app: Read, Move, Practise, Tidy up, or your own. Choose who it’s for, how long each day, and 7, 14, 21 or 30 days, starting today or tomorrow, every day or Monday to Friday.
On the wall the challenge is a path of stones. Each day it asks, “Did you read 20 minutes today?” Your child taps “Yes, I did!”, a star drops into the jar, and the path moves on one stone. You can send a cheer from your phone.
- Every day+1 star, one more stone, and “3 in a row” when it’s going well.
- HalfwayA treat for their pet, and extra stars if you add them.
- The big dayA party cake for their pet, extra stars, and a family reward you choose, like pizza night.
A missed day never ends a challenge. It stays empty on the path, and the next day carries on.

“Who will you look after?”
Six friends to choose from.
Every pet has the same rule: reach today’s star goal, then care for it once. Each has its own way of being cared for, its own hello, and its own treat and cake for challenge days.

“Hello, Biscuit!”
After choosing, your child names their friend: tap a suggested name to hear it, then pick a colour. Want a different name? You can type any name in the app.
From then on, finished tasks mean care: a game of ball for Biscuit, dinner for the cat. A few more days of care and it grows: “3 more days of care → Young dog”. The growth album keeps every stage from the first day.
So a task has a reason that belongs to the child: a friend who needs them.

A jar of stars.
A goal for the family.
Ticks, a planned afternoon, an extra idea and a kept challenge all drop stars into the jar. The Chart shows each day’s stickers and the weekly goal you choose together, like pancake breakfast on Sunday at 18 of 25 stars. Goals start again every Sunday.
- Must-dos: the stars you set
- Ideas: bonus stars
- Planning their own time: +1 star
- Saved stars can be traded for a wish, with your yes

Stars that count.
Rules that forgive.

Grown-up checks
You choose which tasks need an adult’s OK before the stars count. None do unless you switch them on.
